Living, Learning, Listening | Ancestral Health Symposium 2014

Learning from the Past, so that we don't Repeat our Mistakes in the Future.

Today I want to share an awesome presentation series put on by the Ancestral Health Symposium! It's a yearly collection of speakers from a variety of backgrounds, all with a different take on what it means to go "back to our roots" for inspiration, investigation and exploration...

A few of our favorite speakers were: (in no particular order)

  • Chris Masterjohn, Ph.D. —  Resolving the Vitamin D Paradox(AHS14)
  • Esther Gokhale, L.Ac., A.B. —  Bent Out of Shape? (AHS14)
  • Michael Ruscio, D.C., B.S. —  The Gut; Diet, Flora, Health and Disease (AHS14)
  • Skyler Tanner, M.S. —  Resistance Training, Brain Structure, and Brain Function (AHS14)
  • Jill Escher —  Epigenetics & the Multigenerational Effects of Nutrition, Chemicals and Drugs (AHS14)

There are almost 50 speakers! So information to choose from, there's something that will interest everyone. From fitness to specific lifting techniques, posture to range of motion (ROM) exercises, and epigenetics to breaking down your methylation pathways step by step!

The Ancestral Health Society is a non-profit with a mission "to foster collaboration between researchers, clinicians and interested laypersons via the Ancestral Health Symposium (AHS) and our journal, The Journal of Evolution and Health (JEvoHealth)".
